Hey, I’m Dylan, the eyes and heart behind Escape State Creative. My journey into photography started young. My sister, who is eleven years older than me, was big into photography, and as a teenager I found myself looking up to her. I picked up a camera and began documenting the world around me, not realizing then that I was building a way to preserve the little fragments of life that matter most.

I’ve always been a storyteller at heart. Life isn’t made of just the big moments; it’s stitched together by all the small, fleeting ones. The messy laughs, the quiet pauses, kids running wild, the way two people look at each other when no one else is watching. These are the things I love to capture. A single photograph has the power to say a thousand things, and I find magic in freezing those moments that might otherwise slip away.
My approach is simple. I’m more of a quiet observer than a director. I believe the most meaningful images happen when you’re being yourselves. I don’t want to stage perfection. I want to let life unfold, and I’ll be there, gently guiding when needed, but mostly watching, waiting, and framing the moments that feel true.

Outside of photography, I’m a dad, a nature lover, a traveler, a cook, and someone who always has music playing in the background. Those passions shape the way I see the world, finding beauty in simplicity, rhythm in the everyday, and connection in the details.
At the end of the day, my goal is for you to feel happy, warm, and fond every time you look back at your photos. I want them to take you back, not just to how things looked, but to how they felt. Because your story deserves to be remembered, honestly and beautifully, for years to come.
